EyePrintPro Prosthetic Lenses

EyePrintPRO ™ was designed for patients who are extremely visually impaired and currently without alternative solutions to their corneal disease and irregularities. EyePrintPRO ™ provides the best vision and restores quality of life!

Keratoconus Specialist of MD use EyePrintPRO ™, a prosthetic scleral cover shell that improves vision by creating a new, smooth, refractive surface for the eye. Unlike contact lenses, the EyePrintPRO™ is not constrained to typical fabrication and therefore can match the exact contour of any eye- even in the most difficult conditions where other options have failed.

The concept of the EyePrintPRO ™ was developed by Dr. Christine Sindt at the University of Iowa. Dr. Sindt partnered with Keith Parker at Advanced Vision Technologies in Denver, Colorado to develop a high oxygen permeable material with superior quality optics.

This exciting new technology is now available in Baltimore, Maryland exclusively at Global Complex Eye Care.  EyePrintPRO ™ is a prosthetic scleral lens for patients with advanced keratoconus and other irregular corneas/ corneal disease. With “general” scleral lenses doctors use a series of standard lenses and curvatures. PVR PROSE Treatment takes scleral lenses a step further with semi-customized curvatures and lenses. The EyePrintPRO ™ is generated from an impression of the ocular surface to match the exact contour and irregularities of the individual eye. Due to the precise nature of the back surface fit, high quality and individualized optics can be placed on the front surface of the device, creating exactly what each individual needs.

How is EyePrintPRO different from a Scleral Lens?

The EyePrintPRO is similar to a scleral lens. It is made of the same FDA-approved oxygen permeable materials and the fit vaults the cornea while landing on the sclera. There is a long history of the comfort, health, and visual benefits of scleral lenses. The difference, however, is in the design process. General scleral lenses are fit through a system of trial and error with prefabricated lenses. The Precision Vision Rehabilitation (PVR) PROSE Treatment goes a step further to customize the material and precise measurement for proper scleral lens design.

The EyePrintPRO is made from an impression of the ocular surface, using the same concept as a dental impression/molding. Instead of using a series of standardized curvatures as with general scleral lenses, or even customized PVR PROSE Lenses, the EyePrintPRO is generated to exactly match the unique irregularities of the individual eye. Because of the precise nature of the back surface fit, high quality and individualized optics can be placed on the front surface of the device, creating exactly what you need.

The EyePrint PRO™ is a great option for patients with advanced keratoconus, who are uncomfortable or have not been successful with other hybrids, scleral contact lenses, and PVR PROSE Treatment. The concept of getting an exact fit and achieving great comfort and vision is advantageous for patients who have spent months trying to find a device to improve their vision. Having improved comfort and vision will decrease patients’ frustration and their lost time from work while increasing their quality of life.

If you are seeking the highest level of quality eye care for advanced keratoconus, with personal attention, contact Dr. Irwin Azman at 1-888-707-2059.

The EyePrintPRO™ is indicated for keratoconus, irregular astigmatism, ocular surface disease (dry eye), trauma, extreme cases of deformed eyes, pellucid marginal degeneration, chemical burns, post surgical corneas (including corneal transplants and post LASIK ectasia), pinguecula, pterygium, stem cell failure, or simply those who desire better vision and comfort.

The EyePrint Impression is shipped to EyePrint Prosthetics LLC for digitizing and prosthetic scleral cover shell design. Through the latest technology in 3D scanning and computer numerically controlled machining systems, an exact match is achieved to each individual cornea and sclera.

Since the EyePrintPRO™ is manufactured in a high oxygen permeable material with superior quality optics, EyePrintPRO™ wearers have the ultimate in comfort, health and vision.
